Our History

At Missouri City’s Lake Olympia Animal Hospital, we’re quite proud of our extensive history. Doctors Terry Dobson and Michael Jacob initially established Lake Olympia Animal Hospital in April 1985. The purpose of Lake Olympia Animal Hospital was exemplary service to the pets of Missouri City’s citizens. Doctors Dobson and Jacob cared for the pets and horses of Quail Valley, rural Missouri City and Fort Bend County, and a much smaller version of the Lake Olympia community. Back then, the south side of Missouri City was bordered by the Frost Ranch, a working beef cattle ranch.

The practice grew, and in 1993 moved from the small shopping center on Hwy 6 into a new veterinary clinic on Glenn Lakes Lane at the entrance to Quail Valley. The veterinary hospital exemplified service, commitment, and compassion to their clients, and over the years more veterinarians joined them to help care for the growing number of clients and patients who found their way to the animal hospital. Eventually, they realized they could fit no more people or pets into the existing practice, and would have to remodel or expand.

In 2008, Dr. Glenda Wall joined as a partner of Lake Olympia Animal Hospital, and these doctors, together with a compassionate and dedicated staff, established a new home at 20413 S. University Boulevard. This new practice location provides additional space for clients, increasing availability for more services and improved comfy boarding space for their patients.
